“Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve.”– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On January 15 several Chapter members (Illa Gilbert-Jones, President, Paula Jones, Past-President, Milt Villegas, Delegate-at-Large, Annie Moorman, Community Service Committee Chair, and Don Binzer) and friends (Carrie Allen and Amanda Tutor) participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. At the Gilbert Park Elementary SUN School they helped others in improving the community educational garden. Activities included pulling weeds, hauling/removing debris, pruning, and mulching. The project was sponsored by the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO). Annie Moorman, Chapter Community Service Committee Chair, organized the Chapter and friends participation.
